Text Messaging

Note: This is a mobile phone dependent
feature.
The system allows you to receive, send,
download and delete text messages. The
system can also read incoming text
messages to you so that you do not have
to take your eyes off the road.
Receiving a Text Message
Note: Your mobile phone must support
downloading text messages using Bluetooth
to receive incoming text messages.
Note: Only one recipient is allowed per text
message.
When a new message arrives, an audible
tone sounds and the audio display
indicates you have a new message.
You have these options:
Select the listen option to have the
system read the message to you.
Select the view option to open the text
message. Select the ignore option or
do nothing and the message goes into
your text message inbox. Once
selected, you have the ability to have
the message read out to you, to view
other messages or to select the more
option.
SYNC
Press the voice button and say "Read
text message".
Select the more option and use the
arrow buttons to scroll through further
options. Choose from the following:
Reply to sender: Press the OK
button to access and then scroll
through the list of pre-defined
messages to send.
Call sender: Press the OK button
to call the sender of the message.
Forward msg: Press the OK
button to forward the message to
anyone in your phonebook or call
history. You can also choose to
enter a number.
Sending, Downloading and Deleting
Your Text Messages
1.
Press the PHONE button.
2. Select the text messaging option, then
press the OK button.
A list of all available text messages
appears.
You can choose from the following
options:
New allows you to send a new text
message based on a pre-defined set
of 15 messages.
View allows you to read the full
message and in addition provides the
option to have the message read out
to you by the system. To go to the next
message select the more option. This
allows you to reply to the sender, call
the sender or forward the message.
