Changing the Voice Settings
You can change the voice settings using
the information and entertainment display.
1.
Press the MENU button.
2. Select SYNC-Settings.
3. Select Voice Settings.
USING SYNC
PHONE
Hands-free calling is one of the main
features of SYNC. While the system
supports a variety of features, many are
dependent on your mobile phone's
functionality.
At a minimum, most mobile phones with
Bluetooth wireless technology support the
following functions:
Answering an incoming call.
Ending a call.
Using privacy mode.
Dialling a number.
Redialling.
Call waiting notification.
Caller ID.

Makes a best guess from the media
suggestion list. You may still occasionally
be asked questions.
Clarifies your voice command for media
suggestions.

suggestion list. You may still occasionally
be asked questions.
Clarifies your voice command for mobile

Other features such as text messaging
using Bluetooth and automatic phonebook
download are mobile phone dependent
features. To check your mobile phone's
compatibility, refer to your mobile phone's
manual or visit the regional Ford website.
Pairing a Mobile Phone For the
First Time
Note: You must switch the ignition and
radio on.
Note: To scroll through the menus, press
the up or down arrows on your audio system.
Wirelessly pairing your mobile phone with
the system allows you to make and receive
hands-free calls.

Make sure the Bluetooth feature on
your mobile phone is switched on
before starting the search. Refer to your
mobile phone's manual if necessary.
2. Press the PHONE button. When the
audio display indicates that no phones
are paired, select the option to add.
3. When a message to begin pairing
appears in the audio display, search for
SYNC on your mobile phone to start
the pairing process.
