7.4 WiFi Wireless Networking

The handset supports IEEE 80.11b/g wireless networking, so you can connect to a public
hotspot or wireless LAN through the handset, as well as other supported WiFi computers or
devices. WiFi is the default network connection setting. If the WiFi function is not enabled on
the handset, or it has not yet successfully connected to a wireless base station, GPRS will be
used as the default connection setting.
Public hotspots are found in public places such as train stations, airports, or restaurants
that provide wireless networks. Some public hotspots may require connection fees.
