    IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE RETAIN THIS USER’S GUIDE FOR FUTURE REFERENCE When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following: 1.   • Page 7 NOTE A 15amp, 120 volt alternating current (VAC) circuit is required. A dedicated circuit is preferred but not essential in all cases. A dedicated circuit will be required if, after installation, the circuit breaker trips or fuse blows on a regular basis when the heater is operating.

    The fireplace does not require any additional venting. ADDITIONAL ITEMS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION This fireplace requires a Travis Industries (Avalon, Lopi, or Fireplace Xtrordinair) face or trim kit to finalize the installation. Do not operate this fireplace without the face or trim.

  • Page 10 NOTE: This does not apply to fireplaces using a Travis pre-built mantel. When the 564 E is installed into a framed-in wall with square framing and drywall a gap will appear between the face and drywall. See the following page for two methods used to eliminate this gap.
  • Page 11 ARCHED FACE INSTALLATION IN FRAMED-IN WALL (CONT.) INSTALLATION OPTION “A” (SQUARE FRAMING & DRYWALL WITH TILE FACING) This option allows the installer to use the standard framing dimensions (31-7/8” w, 26-3/4” t, 11-3/4” d) by installing tile over the drywall to eliminate the gap.

    OPERATION ELECTRIC FIREPLACE MANUAL CONTROL The manual controls for the fireplace are located in the lower right hand corner. NOTE: If using a fireplace face, you will need to remove the face to access the controls on the fireplace. The face is held in place with short hooks. With the fireplace cool, lift the face upwards and pull forwards to remove.

During shipment, installation, handling, etc., the glass may collect dust particles; these can be removed by dusting lightly with a clean dry cloth. To remove fingerprints or other marks, the glass can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
