14. Safety Summary

ESTIME 3000 generators must only be used on an AC (Alternating Current) mains
supply. Never connect to a DC (Direct Current) supply (except when using the
Switch Mode Power Supply module via its dedicated supply socket). Never
attempt to use any other type of Switch Mode Power Supply.
The mains supply lead must be a three core cable of at least 10 amp rating as
supplied.
The Generator should be switched 'ON' ONLY AFTER THE FLASH HEAD/s
has/have been connected.
Turn OFF the Generator, disconnect from supply and unplug flash head/heads
before:
a).Replacing modelling lamp in flash head.
b).Replacing flash tube in flash head.
c).Replacing fuse in flash head or Generator.
Do not replace fuses with those of a different rating. See Specification for correct
value/type of fuse.
ESTIME 3000 generators or flash heads must not be used in an environment
where moisture, water vapour or inflammable liquids, vapour or materials can
come into contact with the Generator or flash heads being used. The flash output
as well as the modelling lamps can cause ignition of or damage to materials that
may come into direct or close contact with the flash heads.
Keep all vents in the Generator and heads clear of obstructions at all times. Avoid
placing the generator on or against materials that could obstruct the ventilation
slots. e.g. deep pile carpet.
Do not place heavy objects on top of the mains or flash head cables and avoid
running them over sharp objects. Do not use the equipment with damaged cables.
Have them replaced as soon as possible. Do not attempt to repair them yourself.
