The ESTIME 3000 AMF may be powered from a 12 volt car battery via the Switch
Mode Power Supply Module accessory, (BW-2906). No modelling is available
when this is used.
IMPORTANT: THE SWITCHED MODE POWER SUPPLY MODULE MUST
NEVER BE CONNECTED AT THE SAME TIME AS THE MAINS SUPPLY.
Connect the multi-pin plug on the module output lead to the socket on the
Generator control panel (27 Figure 1). Connect the module input lead to the
battery terminals.
NOTE: OBSERVE THE CORRECT POLARITY WHEN CONNECTING THE
BATTERY - RED TO BATTERY POSITIVE (+) AND BLACK TO BATTERY
NEGATIVE (-).
If the battery is inadvertently connected the wrong way round, the module fuse will
fail when switched 'ON' preventing any further damage. Replace the fuse only with
a 30 amp blade type as used in automobiles.
When connected, the Switch Mode module ON/OFF switch becomes the
Generator ON/OFF. The Generator ON/OFF switch, the Fast/Slow charge switch,
the Modelling switches and the AMF system are inoperative but all other controls
operate as normal.
NOTE: NO MODELLING IS AVAILABLE WHEN THE GENERATOR IS USED
WITH THE SWITCH MODE POWER SUPPLY BECAUSE OF EXCESSIVE
CURRENT DRAW LIMITING THE NUMBER OF FLASH DISCHARGES
AVAILABLE.
