A [CENTRAL] Display
Displayed during remote operation prohibited by an optional centralized control unit, etc.
B Temperature Display
Displays the temperature set with the [TEMP.] buttons. Set temperature can be displayed in
either Centigrade or Fahrenheit.

C Operation Modes
Displays the operation status.
The operation modes differ with the indoor unit.
(For details, refer to the Operation Manual of the indoor unit.)
The Ventilation symbol remains lit while the indoor unit is operating.
Cooling
Drying (dehumidifying)
D [TEMP.] Button
Sets the room temperature.
Each time
is pressed, the temperature goes up.
Each time
is pressed, the temperature goes down.
The setting range differs with the indoor unit.

Cooling/dry

*1 The temperature can be adjusted freely in the ranges shown above, and the higher/
lower limit of the ranges can also be changed. For example, the lower limit in the
cooling/dry mode can be changed from [19 ˚C (67 ˚F) → 25 ˚C (77 ˚F)] (higher than
usual), and the higher limit in the heating mode can be changed from [28 ˚C (83 ˚F)
→ 21 ˚C (69 ˚F)] (lower than usual), which prevent excessive cooling/heating,
leading to energy saving. For limit settings, refer to the Temperature Range Setting.
E [CHECK] Display
Displays the inspection refrigerant address (2 digits) or unit address (3 digits) and inspec-
tion code (2 digits, 4 digits) and unit No. when a malfunction occurs in the unit.

F Fan Speed Display
Displays the selected fan speed.
G Power Display
Displayed while the remote control is powered on.
H [ON/OFF] Button
Switches between run and stop. The lamp on the button stays lit during operation.
I Operation Lamp
Lights up during operation.
Flashes when a malfunction occurs.
J Fan Speed Adjustment Button
Used to select the fan speed.
Low
Mid 1
The fan speed appears as one of the four settings shown above. In addition, the indoor unit
can be used to select a different fan speed. For details, refer to the Operation Manual of the
indoor unit.

Auto (cooling/heating)
: Disabled in the heating mode
