Starting a dishwashing cycle
1. Check that the dishes and cutlery are stacked in
the dishwasher in such a way that the spray arms
are free to rotate.
2. Turn on the tap fully.
3. Close the door.
4. Press the ON/OFF button.
The ON/OFF button indicator will become illumi-
nated.
5. Press the relevant button for the cycle required
(see "Cycle Table"). The cycle display will become
illuminated. The selected cycle will begin after
approximately 3 seconds. The remaining time for
the cycle will be shown in the multi-display.
The remaining time for the cycle is adjusted

according to amount of dishes, degree of
soiling, etc.
If an error message is displayed in the multi-

display after the cycle has begun, please
read the section "What to do if...".
Changing/interrupting/aborting a
dishwashing cycle
Only change or interrupt a dishwashing cycle
3
that is in progress if it is absolutely neces-
sary. After the appliance has been closed
again, the air that has entered will be heated
significantly and expand. As a result, water
may collect in the base of the appliance and
trigger the anti-flood system.
Changing a dishwashing cycle
If you would like to change the dishwashing

cycle in the first 3 seconds after having
selected a cycle, briefly press the button for
the new dishwashing cycle.
If you would like to change the dishwashing cycle
after this time, proceed as follows:
1. Press the button for the new dishwashing cycle
and hold it down.
The indicator for the dishwashing cycle that is cur-
rently running will flash.
After several seconds only the indicator for the
new dishwashing cycle will be flashing.
2. Release the cycle button.
The newly selected dishwashing cycle will begin.
Interrupting the dishwashing cycle by
opening the dishwasher door
Hot steam may escape when the door is

opened. There is a risk of scalding. Open the
door carefully.
1. Open the door of the dishwasher.
The dishwashing cycle will stop.
2. Close the door.
The dishwashing cycle will continue.

Aborting the dishwashing cycle
1. Press function buttons 2 and 3 simultaneously and
continue to hold them down.
The cycle display for the current cycle will flash for
several seconds and then cease to be illuminated.
2. Release the function buttons.
The dishwashing cycle has been aborted.
Turning off the dishwasher will only interrupt

a selected dishwashing cycle, not abort it.
The dishwashing cycle will recommence
after turning the dishwasher back on again.
3 in 1 function
Your appliance is equipped with a special additional
function that enables optimal use of 3-in-1 dishwash-
ing tablets and whereby the addition of rinse aid and
special salt is not required.
This additional function can be selected together with
all dishwashing cycles.
1. Place the 3-in-1 dishwashing tablet in the deter-
gent container.
2. Switch on the appliance.
3. Press the button for the additional 3 in 1 function.
The indicator for the 3 in 1 function becomes illu-
minated.
– The addition of special salt and rinse aid from
each respective supply container is prevented.
– The displays will no longer indicate a shortage
of salt or rinse aid.
4. The function can be switched on or off by pressing
the 3 in 1 button.
The 3 in 1 display will indicate the current setting:
The 3 in 1 indicator
is illuminated
The 3 in 1 indicator
is not illuminated
5. Press the relevant button for the cycle required
(see "Cycle Table").
The selected cycle will begin after approximately 3
seconds.
The function can no longer be changed after the
cycle has begun. In this case the dishwashing
cycle must be aborted, and must then be rese-
lected.
If the additional function has been selected

once, it will remain activated for all subse-
quent wash cycles unless it is deactivated by
pressing the button again.
The cycles lengths given in the cycle table
3
may change if the additional function is used.
When changing from 3-in-1 dishwashing tab-
3
lets to conventional detergent please be sure
above all to take note of the last 3 points in
the chapter "Using 3-in-1 dishwashing tab-
lets".
