Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) Receptacle

The 120 V 20 A duplex receptacle is protected by a Ground Fault
Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) for protection against the shock hazard of
ground fault currents. The GFCI Receptacle has a TEST and RESET
button.
An example of ground fault current is the current that would flow
through a person who is using an appliance with faulty insulation and,
at the same time, is in contact with an electrical ground such as a
plumbing fixture, wet floor, or earth.
The GFCI will not protect against short circuit or overloads.
GFCIs can be expected to interrupt power supply if there are ground
faults or stray current imposed on the wiring by other electrical
devices, wiring, or equipment. As a result there is a risk of interruption
if used with critical systems such as life support equipment, so users
should first carefully consider whether it is appropriate to use this
portable generator to power such equipment.
