    RECOMMENDATION CLEAN THE TRANSCEIVER THOROUGHLY WITH FRESH WATER after exposure to saltwater, and dry t before opera- ton. Otherwse, the transcever’s keys, swtches and controllers may become noperable due to salt crystallzaton. The tone sgnallng employed may be a selectve callng system whch allows you to call specfc staton(s) only and pre- vent unwanted statons from contactng you.

When [Emergency] s pushed and held for the specfc tme pe- rod, the DTMF or 5-tone* emergency sgnal s transmtted once or repeatedly on the emergency channel.

    BASIC OPERATION ■ Recording function (Depends on the verson) The transcever has a recordng functon that records the TX/RX voce messages. When the specfic ID s receved, the automatc recordng functon actvates and records the voce message for a specfic tme perod. Or, f the transcever has [Playback/Rec] assgned to t, manual re- cordng s also avalable.
