Password Security for Windows
Changing the Password
You can change the password at any time. Doing so will not
affect any data stored on your Drive.
1. In order to change the password, the Drive must be connected to
your computer and powered on. (See "Connecting the Drive to
Your Computer" for instructions.)
. If you have not yet logged in, or if this is your first time using
Password Security, the SecureHD Login window should be on
the screen. In the SecureHD Login window, click on the Options
button.
If you are already logged in, double-click the CD PART icon
in My Computer. In the CD PART icon window, double-click
PWMangr.exe.
. In the Current Password field, enter the current password. If this
is your first time changing the password, enter 12345 (this is the
factory pre-set).
. In the New Password field, enter your new password. The pass-
word must contain at least four characters.
. In the Confirm New Password field, re-enter the new password.
