WHAT TO DO IN CASE OF A DEFECT?
Before calling the customer service make sure that
the hob was operated correctly and the fuse is not
blown out.
You are able to clear the following defects:
You hear a buzzing when you heat up a zone?
=> This is not a defect. It stops with increasing heat.
Discolouring of a cooking zone?
=> This is not a fault in the material but burnt on food
remains. They do not affect the functioning and
the durability of the ceramic hob.
Defect indication
• if all indicators show a flashing " ":
=> failure, breakdown
--> wrongly operated
possible reasons:
• if the selected power level blinks alternately with "E":
=> Your equipment has been installed so that the
increasing power is limited (see notes regarding
power limitations in the Chapter "Operating
Instructions". The electronics automatically
switches back to the last permitted power level
(Fig. 10).
The power is, however, still sufficient for normal
operation. (Due to the special distribution of
power by the electronics, all hot plates can still be
used.
• if an "F" shows on the display:
=> The electronic device is protected from overheat-
ing by a temperature limiter. Cooking zones
showing an "F" will be automatically turned off by
the electronic device (fig.11).
As soon as the electronic device has reached normal
operating temperature again and the slider of the
corresponding cooking zone moved back to "0", you
can start the cooking zone again.
If the "F" symbol is displayed frequently, contact
your Service Centre as there may be a problem.
