About HDMI Designed to meet the increased demands of digital TV, HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is a new digital interface standard for connecting TVs, projectors, Blu-ray Disc/DVD players, set-top boxes, and other video compo- nents. Using an RIHD-compatible TV, Player, or Recorder , which stands for Remote Interactive over HDMI, is the name of the system control function found on Integra/ Onkyo components.
