108 Configuring email filtering

When you specify the action to add an annotation in a policy, you can choose
to prepend the annotation to the beginning of the message body, or append
the annotation to the end of the message body. If you prepend, you may
want to end your annotation text with a blank line or a line of dashes, to
provide a clear boundary before the beginning of the message body.
To add a new annotation

In the Control Center, click Policies > Annotations.

Click Add.

In the Annotation description box, type a name for the annotation.
This is the name that appears on the Annotations page and in the
annotations list in the Actions section when configuring a policy.

In the Plain text box, type the annotation text.

Choose a character encoding for the plain text annotation.
ISO-8859-1 and UTF-8 are appropriate for European languages. SHIFT-JIS
and ISO-2022-JP are appropriate for Japanese.

If desired, type annotation text in the HTML box.
You can use HTML formatting tags, if desired. See
HTML text is added to messages"

Choose a character encoding for the HTML annotation, if you've specified an
HTML annotation.

Click Save.
Editing an annotation
You can edit an annotation to change the wording.
To edit an annotation

In the Control Center, click Policies > Annotations.

Click the annotation that you want to edit.

Change the annotation text as desired.

Click Save.
