2 Installing the Cable Management Brackets

The location of the brackets depends on the rack position occupied by the interconnect. The
interconnect in an HP Cluster Platform solution is typically installed in the lower "U" locations
of the rack. To install the cable management brackets, follow these steps:
1. Determine the cable management brackets installation locations by aligning the cable
management bracket's mounting flange rack-mount holes with the flange rack-mount holes
in the mounting ears (see callout 6 in

Note:
If the interconnect is already installed, remove the screws that hold the mounting ears to
the rear rails of the HP 10000 series rack one at a time, and then replace them one at a time
while mounting the cable management brackets as shown in

2. Fasten the cable management brackets to the rack's rear rails using two M6 x 16 mm screws
and two cage nuts for each cable management bracket. Sandwich the interconnect's mounting
ear brackets between the rack's rear rails and the cable management brackets (see

4. Route the cables through each of the corresponding channels as shown in
