2. VGA (RGB) to DVI-A adapter included. (DVI-A plug fits in the DVI-I socket.) In addition to RGB, the DVI-I input can accept component, composite and S-video signals via direct interface to Crestron MPS Series products (sold separately) or through an appropriate adapter (not included). Input sync detection is not provided for composite or S-video signal types through the DVI-I connection.

DigitalMedia™ CAT & Fiber Transmitters 300N Crestron DM-TX-300N/-F The following diagram shows a DM-TX-300N-F in a typical application. DM-TX-300N-F in a Typical Application No LAN connection is required for these devices to transmit HDMI in a point-to- point configuration. If you wish to use the control ports (IR, RS-232, Relay, Sense) from a control system, you can connect either LAN port (the one on the DM-TX-300N/-F or the DM-RMC-100/-F) to the control system’s network.
Crestron DM-TX-300N/-F DigitalMedia™ CAT & Fiber Transmitters 300N For DM CAT (e.g. DM-TX-300N) only one power supply is required to power both DM-TX-300N and DM-RMC-100-1 or other receiver device. The DMNet cable will carry power from the power supply to the other device. Please use the DMNet Power Calculator to help calculate how much power is needed for the system (www.crestron.com/calculators).

The IP ID is set within the DM-TX-300N/-F’s table using Crestron Toolbox. For information on setting an IP table, refer to the Crestron Toolbox help file. The IP IDs of multiple DM-TX-300N/-F devices in the same system must be unique.
Rack Mounting The DM-TX-300N/-F can be mounted in a rack or stacked with other equipment. Two “ears” are provided with the DM-TX-300N/-F so that the unit can be rack mounted. These ears must be installed prior to mounting. Complete the following procedure to attach the ears to the unit.
Page 25
Stacking Four “feet” are provided with the DM-TX-300N/-F so that if the unit is not rack mounted, the rubber feet can provide stability when the unit is placed on a flat surface or stacked. These feet should be attached prior to the hookup procedure.
Refer to “Network Wiring” on page 19 before attaching the 4-position terminal block connector. Apply power after all connections have been made. When making connections to the DM-TX-300N/-F, note the following: • Use Crestron power supplies for Crestron equipment.

Additional DM-TX-300N/-F devices are assigned different IP ID numbers as they are added. 4. If necessary, double click a device to open the “Device Settings” window and change the IP ID, as shown in the following figure (DM-TX-300N shown).
Ethernet Crestron Toolbox The DM-TX-300N/-F connects to PC via Ethernet: 1. Enter the IP address, IP mask and default router of the DM-TX-300N/-F via the Crestron Toolbox (Functions | Ethernet Addressing); otherwise enable DHCP. NOTE: Use the Device Discovery Tool in Crestron Toolbox to detect all Ethernet devices on the network and their IP configuration.
Crestron DM-TX-300N/-F DigitalMedia™ CAT & Fiber Transmitters 300N 3. Use the Address Book in Crestron Toolbox to create an entry for the DM-TX-300N/-F with the DM-TX-300N/-F’s TCP/IP communication parameters. 4. Display the “System Info” window (click the icon) and select the DM-TX-300N/-F entry.
3. A defined IP table can be saved to a file or sent to the device. Edit the control system’s IP table to include an entry for the DM-TX-300N/-F. The entry should list the DM-TX-300N/-F’s IP ID (specified on the DM-TX-300N/-F’s IP table) and the internal gateway IP address 127.0.0.1.
Use the Right Wire In order to ensure optimum performance over the full range of your installation topology, Crestron Certified Wire and only Crestron Certified Wire may be used. Failure to do so may incur additional charges if support is required to identify performance deficiencies because of using improper wire.
1080p60 Deep Color Not supported NOTE: All Crestron certified DMNet wiring must consist of two twisted pairs. One twisted pair is the +24V conductor and the GND conductor and the other twisted pair is the A conductor and the B conductor.
