  • Page 6 Every signal is preserved in its native video resolution and audio format, ensuring a pure, lossless signal path throughout. 1. EDID signal detection and format management in the DM-TX-300N-F requires connection to a DMC-F or DMC-F-DSP input card (both sold separately).
  • Page 7 2. VGA (RGB) to DVI-A adapter included. (DVI-A plug fits in the DVI-I socket.) In addition to RGB, the DVI-I input can accept component, composite and S-video signals via direct interface to Crestron MPS Series products (sold separately) or through an appropriate adapter (not included). Input sync detection is not provided for composite or S-video signal types through the DVI-I connection.
  • Page 8 IR probes. Compact and Versatile The DM-TX-300N/-F is designed to be placed on a shelf or mounted in an equipment rack or lectern. It is compact enough to fit inside a presentation lectern or beneath a table. An array of indicators on the front of the DM-TX-300N/-F provides for easy setup and troubleshooting, verifying the status of connections and signal activity at a glance.

DM-TX-300N-F in a Typical Application No LAN connection is required for these devices to transmit HDMI in a point-to- point configuration. If you wish to use the control ports (IR, RS-232, Relay, Sense) from a control system, you can connect either LAN port (the one on the DM-TX-300N/-F or the DM-RMC-100/-F) to the control system’s network.

    The IP ID is set within the DM-TX-300N/-F’s table using Crestron Toolbox. For information on setting an IP table, refer to the Crestron Toolbox help file. The IP IDs of multiple DM-TX-300N/-F devices in the same system must be unique.

    Rack Mounting The DM-TX-300N/-F can be mounted in a rack or stacked with other equipment. Two “ears” are provided with the DM-TX-300N/-F so that the unit can be rack mounted. These ears must be installed prior to mounting. Complete the following procedure to attach the ears to the unit.
  • Page 25 Stacking Four “feet” are provided with the DM-TX-300N/-F so that if the unit is not rack mounted, the rubber feet can provide stability when the unit is placed on a flat surface or stacked. These feet should be attached prior to the hookup procedure.

    Refer to “Network Wiring” on page 19 before attaching the 4-position terminal block connector. Apply power after all connections have been made. When making connections to the DM-TX-300N/-F, note the following: • Use Crestron power supplies for Crestron equipment.

The white wire connects to 24; the black wire connects to G. The proper method for connection depends on the associated components in the system, as shown in the following three illustrations.

    Ethernet Crestron Toolbox The DM-TX-300N/-F connects to PC via Ethernet: 1. Enter the IP address, IP mask and default router of the DM-TX-300N/-F via the Crestron Toolbox (Functions | Ethernet Addressing); otherwise enable DHCP. NOTE: Use the Device Discovery Tool in Crestron Toolbox to detect all Ethernet devices on the network and their IP configuration.

Use the Address Book in Crestron Toolbox to create an entry for the DM-TX-300N/-F with the DM-TX-300N/-F’s TCP/IP communication parameters. 4.     Use the Right Wire In order to ensure optimum performance over the full range of your installation topology, Crestron Certified Wire and only Crestron Certified Wire may be used. Failure to do so may incur additional charges if support is required to identify performance deficiencies because of using improper wire.
