Avoid Service Checklist
You may save the cost and inconvenience of an unnecessary service call by first reviewing this Checklist of
commonly encountered problem situations.
You will be charged for a service call while the appliance is in warranty if the problem is not caused by defective
product workmanship or materials.
Your new appliance is a carefully engineered product. Many times, what appears to be a reason to call service
requires nothing more than a simple adjustment you can easily make in your own home.
Cannot move appliance easily.
Appliance must be accesslble
for service.
Entire range or oven does not
operate.
Oven control beeps and
dlsplays FI, F3 or Fg.
POSSIBLE CAUSE/SOLUTION
Poor installation. To level range, refer to Leveling Section on page 9 in this
Use and Care Guide. When range is level, cooktop may appear out of
alignment if countertop is not level.
Weak, unstable floor. Be sure floor is level and can adequately support
range. Contact a carpenter to correct sagging or sloping floor.
Kitchen cabinet misalignment may make range appear to be untevel. Be sure
cabinets are square and have sumcient room for range clearance.
Cabinets not square or are built in too tight. Contact a cabinet maker to
correct the problem.
Contact builder or installer to make appliance accessible.
Carpeting interferes with range. Provide sumcient space so range can be
lifted over carpet.
Make sure cord/plug is inserted tightly into outlet.
Service wiring is not complete. Contact your dealer, installing agent or
qualified servicer.
Power outage. Check house lights to be sure. Call your local electric
company for service.
Electronic control has detected a fault condition. Push CANCEL to clear the
display and stop beeping. Program oven again. If fault recurs, record fault
number. Push CANCEL and contact a qualified servicer.

Cookware with rough bottom has been used. Use smooth, fiat-bottomed
cookware.
