Print ed picture
Problems
Picture is not sharp.
Picture is too dark.
Printed date/time is incorrect.
The date is not printed on the

Possible Causes
a Was your finger on the AF win-
dows when shooting?
b Did you aim toward the subject
properly?
c Was the lens dirty?
d Was your camera moving?
e Did you select h mode when
shooting at a close distance?
a Was the subject too far from the
camera for the flash to work?
b Was your finger over the flash?
c Was the subject backlit from being
taken next to a window, etc?
d Did you set the correct date and
time after replacing the battery?
a Did you select the "[" mode
before taking pictures?
b Was there something light-colored
(white, yellow, orange) where the
date appears?
Solutions
a When taking pictures, hold your camera correctly
so that your finger is not on the AF windows.
b Compose the picture in the AF frame and shoot,
or take pictures using AF lock.
c Clean the lens.
d Hold the camera firmly and press the shutter but-
ton gently. Use a tripod for slow shutter speeds.
e Select a mode other than h mode.
a Take pictures within the effective flash range.
b Do not cover the flash with your finger.
c Select f mode.
d Set date and time after replacing the battery.
a Select a date mode other than the "["
mode before taking pictures.
b The date printed on the front of the picture may
not be clearly visible against light background.
Try to arrange the picture so that there is no light
colored background where the date appears.
