 USB Connection Setup
The following procedure uses Windows XP as an example.

Connect the computer and the printer with the USB cable.

Turn on the printer.
NOTE:
• If Found New Hardware Wizard appears, click Cancel at this time.

Click Installing Drivers and Software.

Select Personal Installation, and then click Next.

Click Install.

Select Typical Installation(recommended) to perform the standard installation, and then click
Install.
For the custom installation, select Custom Installation, and then click Next. Select the items that
you want to install, and then click Install.

Click Finish to exit the wizard. If necessary, click Print Test Page to print a test page.
