6.4 Checking Printer Status via
SimpleMonitor
SimpleMonitor is a tool that allows you to check the print job you sent and printer status on
a computer, when you use this printer as a local printer. This tool can be installed on your
computer from the CentreWare CD-ROM.

• For details about installing the SimpleMonitor, refer to the CD-ROM Documentation (HTML) on the
CentreWare CD-ROM.
You can use the following SimpleMonitor functions.
• When an error occurs on the printer while processing a print job, a dialog box opens to
and describes the problem on the computer's monitor.
• You can check the paper size that is loaded into the trays, the status of the output tray,
and the remaining amount of consumables such as toner cartridges and drum cartridge
on the following window.
