When prompted, confirm the action. The target device is removed from the Managed Targets
list and the side navigation bar.

Performing target device operations

You may perform the following actions for all selected managed devices at the same time: turn on,
turn off or reset the devices.
To turn on, turn off or reset all selected target devices (for Admin and Operator
users only):
1.
Click the Targets tab.
2.
In the side navigation bar, click Targets. The Targets window appears.
3.
In the Group list, select the target device(s) you wish to modify.
4.
Complete one of the following steps:
a.
To turn on the target devices, click Power On.
b.
To turn off the target devices, click Power Off.
c.
To reset power on the target devices, click Power Reset.
5.
Confirm the action when prompted. A Power Result message appears.

Managing Target Device Groups

You may create groups for managed target devices so you can perform operations on all devices in
a group at the same time. You may create an unlimited number of groups, and the same target
device may be a part of multiple groups.
A default target device group with the same name as the MergePoint 5200 SP manager alias is
automatically created for you. In the side navigation bar, the appliance, the target devices and target
devices group are displayed in the explorer tree according to hierarchy. Group folders and target
devices that are part of the appliance alias group are displayed one level below the SP manager.
Target devices that are members of groups are displayed one level below the corresponding
group folder.
For more information about changing the MergePoint 5200 SP manager alias and default group
name, see Changing MergePoint 5200 SP manager network settings on page 22.
To add a new target device group (for Admin users only):
1.
Click the Targets tab.
2.
In the top navigation bar, click Group. The Group Management window appears.
3.
Click Add. The Add Group window appears.
4.
In the Group Name field, type a name for the group.
5.
Click Apply Changes. The new group appears in the Group list.
