To use the Web Manager to connect to the console of the console server:
1.
Select Connect in the Web Manager. The Connect screen appears.
2.
Click the Connect to ACS 50XX radio button. The Java viewer appears.
3.
Log in if prompted.
To use the Web Manager to connect to a device through a serial port:

Select Connect in the Web Manager. The Connect screen appears.
2.
Select a port from the Serial pull-down list.
3.
Select Connect. The Java viewer appears.

To use Telnet to connect to a device through a serial port:
For this procedure, you need the hostname of the console server or its IP address and the TCP port
number for the serial port to which the device is connected.
The example assumes that the Telnet service is supported on the operating system where the telnet
command is entered. To use a Telnet client, enter the information in the dialog boxes of the client.
To use Telnet in a shell, enter the following command:
# telnet hostname | IP_address TCP_port_number
