A mesh screen is installed inside the vent pipe, and a metal plate on the side of the cabinet covers the opening of the vent pipe. Up to 50 CFM of outside air is introduced into the equipment closet by removing the metal cover plate. The outside air then mixes with the return air and is pulled through the evaporator coil and into the supply duct.
