Message Handling

The proxy supports for forwarding of messages, for instance
instant messages. In addition to the normal forwarding of messages in a
proxy fashion, the proxy also supports "store & forward".
Store & Forward
The store & forward mechamism first checks if a message can be
delivered or not. If it can be delivered the proxy will behave normally like
it would with every other message.
If the message cannot be delivered, the proxy stores the message
temporarily. As soon as the message can be delivered, the proxy initiates
a request on its on and delivered the message. The message typically
becomes deliverable when a user agent signs in on an account that had
no contact registered.
If a message is deliverable, the proxy tries to deliver that
message. Should this delivery fail, the proxy does not store the message
and sends the error code back to the user agent client that initiated the
message delivery.
There is no limitation on the number of messages that canbe
stored in an account.

Welcome Message

When a new user signs in for the first time, the proxy may send
him or her a welcome message which is initiated by the proxy.
This is a nice feature that informs users about the operators
capabilities or downloads operator images onto the phones. When the
location of the attachment file changes, the proxy notifies all registered
users about the change.
