FS-100 Functions
Make Ref MOV
Final Cut Pro Users
The
MAKE REF MOV utility must be performed
100 in Final Cut Pro (FCP). FCP modifies content files, after which they
are incompatible with the FS-100 MAKE REF MOV utility.
This utility generates one or more QuickTime Reference Movie
files for each video clip in
QUICKTIME 24P
Creating the reference movie file streamlines the workflow for FCP
users. In FCP, the reference movie file can be dragged into the
appropriate timeline and all associated video and audio files are
automatically utilized.
Moving and Copying Reference Movie Files
When moving or copying the reference movie file, make sure to move or
copy the content files to the same folder. The reference movie file must be in
same folder as the content files.
Number of reference movie files generated per clip depends upon
the HDD MODE and length of recording. A reference movie file is
generated for approximately every 2 hours of content in a clip. See
the following table for details:
Content Referenced per Reference Movie
HDD MODE
DV/DVCPRO
DVCPRO50
DVCPROHD
DVCPROHD (VFR)
The maximum number of Reference Movies that can be generated
at one time is 500.
