During the pyrolytic process the oven is
heated to approx. 460 °C . Any residual
soiling is burnt off by the high
temperatures.
The oven door is automatically locked
shortly after the pyrolytic cleaning
process starts.
Depending on soiling levels you can
choose between three cleaning
programmes:
– PY 1 lasting approx. 2 hours 15 mins
– PY 2 lasting approx. 2 hours 35 mins
– PY 3 lasting approx. 2 hours 55 mins
The door cannot be opened until this
duration has been completed.
You can delay the start of the pyrolytic
process for example, to take advantage
of cheaper night electricity tarifs.
Starting a pyrolytic process
^ Take all accessories out of the oven.
^ Turn the function selector to the
pyrolytic . programme position.
PY I will appear in the display. The digit
will start flashing.
^ Turn the multi-function selector until
the required pyrolytic programme
digit shows in the display.
^ Press the multi-function selector
gently.
Cleaning and care

The digit for the pyrolytic programme
selected together with its duration will
show in the display.
The appliance door will lock and the
heating elements will begin to heat up.
The pyrolytic programme duration can
be followed counting down in the
display.
You can set a delay time for the
pyrolytic process to start at during
the first five minutes after starting the
programme, for example, to take
advantage of cheaper night electricity
tarifs. To do so:
^ Call up the f symbol and select a
start time.
You can change the start time if you
wish at any time up until the delay
period has elapsed.
At the end of pyrolytic cleaning
process
– the ) symbol will start flashing.
– an audible tone sounds five times, if
it is switched on (see section
"Altering oven settings v – P 2").
^ Turn the programme selector to "0".
The buzzer will stop and the symbols in
the display will go out.
