5.0 BATTERY CALCULATION SHEET:

STANDBY CURRENT CALCULATIONS
1. The Standby Current for the PS-12/24-8CP is .060 Amps.
2. Enter the AUX current draw
3. Add Steps 1 and 2 together
4. Multiply Step 3 by the number of hours required.
TOTAL STANDBY CURRENT IN Amp HOURS.
ALARM CURRENT CALCULATIONS
1. List notification appliance requirements.
ALARM CURRENT FOR THE PS-12/24-8CP
NOTIFICATION APPLIANCE
2. Calculate total notification appliance current plus alarm current for PS-12/24-8CP.
3. Multiply Step 2 by alarm time required.
**Note: 15 Minute alarm is not UL listed for 60 hour battery backup when AUX power is used.
BACKUP BATTERY REQUIREMENTS
1. Enter Standby Current.
2. Enter Alarm Current from Step 3 above.
3. Add Steps 1 and 2 together.
4. Multiply step 3 by 1.2 for minimum Backup Battery Requirements
