I have Genie Pro 88. The door goes up on the remote but does not regualrly go down unless I get out I walk around clicking the remote and eventually it gos down. I have adjusted the sliding mechanism on the rail near the motor and the slide that other moveable thing that goes back and forth and then the door sometime works for a day or two. Then thee is that little white flapper that stops the motor. The remote causes the motor to hummm but it takes awhile to work by numerous clicks.. Any idea?

The issue could be caused by improper force or limit settings, a misaligned safety sensor, or an unbalanced garage door. The manual advises testing the door opener monthly to ensure it reverses properly on contact with an object. If adjustments are made to the force or travel limit, the opener should be retested. Additionally, an improperly balanced door can cause operational issues and should be checked by an authorized dealer. Ensure the safety sensors are aligned and not obstructed, as this can prevent the door from closing consistently.
