Questions and answers
Hi the electric was shut off for about 1to 2 hours and when it came back on my garage door stopped working no lights nothing
A Genie Pro Series garage door opener may stop working after a power outage due to the following possible reasons:
1. Battery Backup: If the model includes a battery backup and it is depleted or not functioning, the opener won't operate during or after a power outage.
2. Sure-Lock™: If Sure-Lock™ was activated, it prevents the door from opening. It should be turned OFF using the Basic Wall Console.
3. Door Lock: The Door Lock feature or wire connections may need to be checked.
4. Limit or Force Settings: Power loss may affect the opener’s limit or force settings, which may need to be reset.
5. Wall Control or Remote: A stuck button on the wall control or remote could interfere with normal operation.
These checks can help restore proper function after a power outage.
