Turn on the TV and press
[1/O ON/STANDBY], and be sure to
select the input of the TV to which
the unit is connected.

When you want to record to the disc:
Press [DVD].
Press [OPEN/CLOSE j] to open the disc
tray. Place the disc to record properly.
Press [OPEN/CLOSE j] again to close
the disc tray.
When you want to record to a
cassette tape:
Press [VCR].
Insert the cassette tape with an
erase-protection tab into the cassette
compartment•
Select the input of the unit which the
external device is connected• (L1, L2
or DV(L3))
• To use the input jacks on the rear of this unit;
Select "L1" by using [INPUT SELECT 4D ].
• To use the input jacks on the front of this unit;
Select "L2" or "DV" (L3) by using
[INPUT SELECT -_ ].
Press [REC MODE] to select a
recording mode.
Refer to "Recording Mode" on page 33 for DVD
or "Recording" on page 99 for VCR.
Press [0 REC] on the unit to start
recording.
Start playback on the external device
to record from.
Press [==STOP] / [j EJECT /==STOP]
on the unit to stop recording.
