Troubleshooting
If you run into any problem using your
camcorder, use the following table to
troubleshoot the problem. If the problem
persists, remove the power source and
contact your Sony dealer.
If"C:l-ll-l:l-ll-l" is displayed on the LCD
screen or the viewfinder, the self-diagnosis
display ffmction is activated. See page 121
for details.
Symptom Cause and/or Corrective Actions
The powei does not mm on • Tile battery pack is dischaiged miming low, 02 not attached to tile
camcolder.
->Attach a chaiged batteiy pack to the camcordei. (p 16)
-')Use the AC Adaptor to connect to the wall outlet. (p. 19)
• Your camcoider is not inseited to the Handycam Station correctly.
"_Inse_t your camcolder to the Handycam Station conectly. (p. 5)
The camcorder does not operate even ->Disconnect the AC Adaptor flora the wall outlet or iemove the batte_ 7
when the power is set to on pack, then reconnect it aftei about 1 minute. If the fimctions still do not
work, press the RESET button using a shaip-pointed object. (!fyou press
the RESET button, all settings including the clock setting aie reset,
except the Peisonal Menu items.)
The supplied Remote Commandei _ Set [REMOTE CTRL] o _ t le (STANDARD SET) menu to [ON]
does not fimction. (p. 87)
Insert a battery into the battei 7 holder with the + polarities conectly
matching the + marks. If this still does not solve the problem, inse_t a
new battei 7 since the battery is dead. (p. 144)
Relnove any obstructions between the Remote Commander and the
remote sensor.
The camcordei gets warm • This is because the power has been turned on fb! a long time This is not
a malfimction.
