Set the mode dial to P, Sv or Av.
Press the _ button.
The built-in flash pops up.
Press the four-way controller (•).
The [Flash Mode] screen appears.
Select s_w or _. and press the
OK
button.
The shutter speed is set slower to give a proper exposure for the
background.
5 Take a picture.
I Set the mode dial to
Tv, TAv
or M.

The [Flash Mode] screen appears.
Select _ or _® and press the
OK
button.

Set the shutter speed (for Tv mode) or shutter speed and
aperture value (for TAv or M mode).
Set so a proper exposure is obtained at a shutter speed of 1/180 second
or slower.
Press the _ button.
The built-in flash pops up.
Take a picture.
