VCR
The following tape playback features are availablein VCR mode. (Press
OUTPUT SELECT so the green VIDEO light is on, if necessary.)
Automatic Playback
When you put a tape in the DVD/VCR, the power will come on
automatically. If the tape's record tab is missing, playback will begin.
If a timer recording is set and the TIMER light is flashing, the
power will not come on automatically when you insert a tape with
the record tab intact.
If a timer recording is set and the TIMER light is flashing, the
DVD/VCR will eject the tape if the record tab is missing.
Automatic Rewind, Eject
When a tape is played, fast forwarded, or recorded to its end, the
DVD/VCR will rewind the tape to the beginning, stop, then eject
the tape. If REPEAT PLAY is ON, the DVD/VCR will not eject the
tape automatically. The tape will begin to play again. Details are on
page 39.
If the real-time tape counter memory is set, the DVD/VCR will
only rewind the tape to the point at which the counter is set to
zero, then stop. The DVD/VCR will not eject the tape automati-
cally. Details are on page 40.
Tape Eject
A tape can be ejected with the DVD/VCR power on or off (but
the DVD/VCR must be plugged in).
If a timer recording is set and the TIMER light is on, the tape can-
not be ejected. To eject the tape, you must first press TIMER SET
(or TIMER on the DVD/VCR) to cancel the timer recording, then
press STOP/EJECT to remove the tape.To reset the timer record-
ing, insert a tape, then press TIMER SET (or TIMER on the
DVD/VCR).
Automatic Tracking Adjustment
The DVD/VCR adjusts tracking automaticallyto give you the best
possible picture quality, With some recordings, however, you may
get a better picture usingthe manualtracking controls (see below).

Tracking
To manually adjust the tracking during normal playback and slow
motion playback of a video cassette, press CHANNEL A/v on
the DVD/VCR. (CHANNEL/SKIP I_1_1/1_1_1(v/A) on the
remote control will not adjust tracking.)
Tracking will return to Automatic Tracking Adjustment when you
press STOP • (_) or insert a tape.
You cannot manually adjust the tracking of a Still picture.
However, you may press CHANNEL A/'v on the front of the
DMDNCR to remove vertical jitter in a Still picture.
