AUTO SHUTTER SPEED CONTROL
ABOUT WHITE
BALANCE
Adjustment
of
white
balance
is
for
color
compensation
that allows a white subject
to be
recorded
and reproduced
as normal white without
undue effect from the color of surrounding
light,
which
may be too blue or too red. Your video
camcorder
is equipped with a constant automatic
white
balance
system
which
will continuously
maintain proper color balance.
When the "WHITE BALANCE" is in auto state, it can
adjust white balance
automatically
when the color
temperature
of light source is in the range of 2800 °
K-6500°K.
HIGH SPEED SHUTTER
Variable Shutter Speeds
Your new camcorder is equipped with a high speed
shutter for recording fast action shots and for clear,
high-definition stopped and slow motion playback.
Normal shutter speed is "1/60" second, but can be
changed to a faster speed, up to "1/10000" second.
Recommended
Shutter Speed
The proper
shutter
speed
should
be selected
to
provide optimum picture quality. To prevent blurring
when recording fast moving objects, use a fast
shutter speed. Fast shutter speeds also require a
higher light level.
To operate
the Shutter Speed selection
mode,
use the following
steps.
In the RECORD PAUSE mode or RECORD mode:
1. Press the H.S. SHUTTER
button repeatedly to
select the desired speed. The selected
shutter
speed will appear on the viewfinder screen.
Note:
When the shutter
speed is 1/60 seconds,
"1/60" will not be displayed in the EVF.
When the high speed shutter is no longer desired:
2. Press the H.S SHUI-FER
button repeatedly until
the shutter indication disappears
from the EVF
screen.
Note: The high speed shutter will remain on (even
when the power is turned off and then back on within
30 minutes) until the standard shutter speed or Auto
mode is selected
The high speed shutter requires
more illumination
than the standard speed shutter. It may be nece-
ssary to switch back to standard
speed shutter if
more light is not available.
