About ClimateKeepe with dual evaporators.
How it Works
The ClimateKeeper with dual evaporators
system features two evaporators-one for
the refrigerator and one for the freezer
Thisprovides two separatecoolingsystems,and
separatesthe airflowbetweenthe freshfoodand
freezercompartmentsduringnormalcooling
operations.
The separate airflow system minimizes
the mixing of air between the two compartments,
which reduces fresh food odor transfer to improve
the taste of ice.
TheClimateKeeper s ystemalsoreduces
the numberof defrostingcyclesin thefreezer
evaporator, t herebyreducingfreezerburn.
About the water filter.
Water Filter Cartridge
Thewater filter cartridgeislocatedin thetop
grillecompartment.Flipup the paneltop grille
to access the water filte_
When to Replacethe Filter
Thereisa replacementindicatorlightforthe water
filter cartridgeon the dispense_ T hislightwill turn
orangeto tell youthat you needto replacethe
filter soon.
Thefilter cartridgeshouldbe replaced when the
Cartridge replacement i ndicatorlightturnsred or ifthe flow

Donot pushit up intothe holdeE
Slowlyturn it clockwiseuntilthefilter
cartridgestops.DONOTOVERTIGHTEN. As
youturn the cartridge,itwill automatically
raiseitselfinto position, C artridge will rotate
about 1/4turn.
_Run water from the dispenser f or 3 minutes
(about1V2 gallons) t o clearthesystemand
preventsputtering.
_ Press and holdthe RESET F ILTER button
on the dispenser f or 3 seconds.
NOTE: A newly-installed water filter cartridgemay
causewater to spurt from the dispenseE
Filter Bypass Plug
Youmust usethefilter bypassplugwhen
a replacement f iltercartridgeisnot available.
Thebypassplugwill be tapedto the door bin
in the newunit.
NOTE: Thedispenser and the icemaker w ill not
operatewithout thefilter or filter bypassplug.
