Using the self-cleaning lower oven.
The oven door must be closed and all controls must be set correctly for the cycle to work properly.
Wipe up heavy soil on the oven
bottom,
Before a Clean Cycle
Theovenmust be completely cool in order to set
the self-clean cycle,
We recommend venting your kitchen
xdth an open,_in(tow or using a
ventilation fan or 11oo(t during the
first self:clean (¢,cle.
Remove the broiler pan, broiler _id,
probe, all cookware and any aluminum
foil from the oven.
The oven shelves and convection
roasting rack can be sell:cleaned, but
they _ill darken, lose their luster and
become hard to slide.
Do not use abrasives OFoven cleaners.
Clean tile top, sides and out.side of the
oven door }_4thsoap and water.
Make sure tile oven light bulb cover
(on some models) is in place and the
oven light is off_
How to Set the Oven for Cleaning
V-_ Press tile SELF CLEAN pad.
Using the numt)er pads, enter the
desired clean time, ira time other
than 4 hours is needed.
Clean c_,cletime is normally 4 hours. You
can change file clean time to any time
between 3 hours and 5 hours, depending
on how dirty your oven is.
[_] Press tile START pad.
Tile door locks autolnatically. Tile display
will show the clean time remaining. It will
not be possible to open tile oven door
until tile temperature
drops below tile
lock temperature
and tile LOCKEDDOOR
light goes off.
When tile LOCKED DOORlight is off,
open tile door.
Tile words LOCK DOOR will flash
and tile oven control will signal if you
set tile clean (¢,cle and forget to close
the oven door.
To stop a clean (_,cle, press file
CLEAR/OFFpad.When file LOCKED
DOORlight goes offand tile oven has
cooled below the locking telnperature,
open the door.
