Error Alerts (Flashing "E"/"c" and "E....o")
Error olerts indicote o temporory problem
that may be corrected by the user.
Cleer Kegpad--lf the display flashes "E"
alternating to "c", the keypad is sensing
continuous activation of one or more
keypads. Clean or clear any obstructions
on the keypad area. Obstructions may be
water, food spills,a utensil or other objects.
To resume cooking, touch the ON/OFF pad,
then select the power level.
Over Tempereture--lf the display flashes
"E" alternating to "o", the cooktop sensor
indicates thot the induction element or
electronics have overheated.
Touch the ON/OFF pad and ollow the
cooktop to cool for 30 to 45 minutes before
operation can begin agoin.
If either of these conditions persist,
call for service.
IMPORTANT:If the "E" flashes alone,
without alternating to a "c" or "o', a
hardware error has occurred. Callfor
service.
Overheoting of the element is coused bg
plocing on emptg pon on the element ond
selecting o high power level.The element
sensor detects verg high temperotures
(obove normol cooking temperotures),
turns off the power ond displogs the error.
A second potentiol couse of this error is
o lock of cooling oir to the bottom of the
cooktop, which con couse overheoting
of the electronics. If this situotion occurs,
moke sure the oir inlet below the cooktop
is unobstructed.
CONTROL
LOCK
Control Lock
IMPORTANT: As o convenience, gou con
lock the entire cooktop ot ong time when it
is not in use or before cleoning. Locking the
cooktop will prevent surfoce elements from
being turned on occidentollg.
To lock the cooktop:
Touch ond hold the CONTROL LOCKpod
for 5 seconds.
A two-beep signal will sound, ond the
CONTROL LOCKlight will glow, indicoting
thot the cooktop is locked.
If the cooktop is locked while o surfoce
element is in use, it will outomoticollg
turn off.
The CONTROLLOCKdoes not offect the
timer. If Control Lock is set while the timer is
counting down, it will continue to operote.
To unlock the cooktop:
Touch ond hold the CONTROLLOCKpod
ogoin for 5 seconds. A two-beep signol will
sound, ond the CONTROLLOCKlight will
go out, indicoting thot the cooktop is
unlocked.
