Maintenance information and precautions
Cleaning the video head
To _,nsur_,normal recording and ck,ar picture, s, clean tlr_,vidc,o heads.
When you playback/record in the Digital8 |_ system
The video head may be dirty when:
mosaic-pattern noise appears on the playback picture.
-playback pictures do not move.
playback pictures are hardly visible.
-playback pictures do not appear.
the _ indicator and "1_ CLEANING CASSETTE" message appear one after another.
or
When you play back in the Hi8/Standard 8 (analog) system
The video head may b_, dirty when:
-playback pictures contain noise.
playback pictures are hardly visible.
-playback pictures do not appear.
or
If the above problem occurs, clean the video heads with the Sony V8-25CLD cleaning
cassette (optional). Check the picture and if the above problem persists, repeat cleaning.
Cleaning the LCD screen
If fingerprints or dust make the LCD screen dirty, we recommend using a LCD
Cleaning Kit (optional) to clean tlrc, LCD screen.
