To delete an entry in the IGMP Filter Table:
1. Display the IGMP Filter Table.
2. Select an entry in the table.
3. Click . The entry is deleted from the IGMP Filter Table.
4. Click to update the device. When the Status field displays "Finished!", the entry is deleted
from the device.
PIM
Multicast routers use Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM) to determine which other multicast routers
should receive multicast packets. Protocol Independent Multicast-Dense Mode (PIM-DM) is used when
there is a large population of receivers in a network. PIM-DM builds routing and forwarding tables on-
the-fly. PIM-DM uses unicast routing information to provide routing table information and adapt to
topological changes
The PIM menu has the following menus options:
♦ Parameters
♦ Interface Table
♦ Neighbor Table
♦ Route Table
♦ Route Next Hop
Parameters
The PIM Parameters window provides information regarding the PIM MIB software version currently
being used for multicast routing.
To display the PIM Parameters window:
