Troubles
sometimes
axe caused by simple "faults"
that you can easily correct without
the help of a service technician
by first checking
a few basic remedies.
Before you call or take your camcorder
to an Authorized
RCA Camcorder
Service
Center, look below
for the type of trouble you axe experiencing.
Then perform the
simple checks and adjustments
listed for that trouble.
If service should be necessary,
the warranty
information
lists what your waxranty
covers and explains
how to get service.
No power
Won't record or
playback
Set the POWER
switch to CAMERA
or VCR to turn on
the camcorder.
The power indicator
lights.
If using battery,
it might need to be recharged.
If using AC adapter/charger,
make sure it is plugged
into a working
outlet.
Make sure DSC/V1DEO
switch set to VIDEO for
normal recording
and playback.
If using AC adapterichaxger,
make sure it is plugged
into a working
outlet.
If CONDENSATION
OPERATION
PAUSED PLEASE
WAlT flashes on the monitor or in the viewfinder,
there is
moisture in the camcorder.
Wait until the waxning no
longer appears before operating
the camcorder.
Make sure POWER
switch is set to correct
position for
desired
operation.
There might not be a cassette
in the camcorder.
Try ejecting
and reinserting
the cassette.
The cassette
tape might be broken,
try another
cassette.
You might have reached
the end of the cassette,
try
rewinding
it.
Won't playback
POWER
switch must be set to VCR and DSC/V1DEO
switch set to VIDEO for normal
playback.
Won't record
Safety tab removed
or closed.

VIDEO switch set to VIDEO for normal recording.
No picture
Open lens cover.
