6. Rotate the PUSH dial to highlight the
type of snapshot you want to take.
• Select FULL to take a full screen
snapshot with no frame.
• Select PIN-UP to have the snapshot
framed like a picture.
7. Press the PUSH dial in to select the
type of snapshot you want to take.
8. Press the PUSH dial in remove the
menu from the screen.
9. The indicator for the type of snapshot
you select appears in the viewfinder or
on the LCD monitor.
• P appears
when you select PIN-UP.
• No indicator
appears
when FULL is
selected.
10. Press the SNAPSHOT
button
while
recording
to take a snapshot.
There is
a momentary
camera shutter-type
blackout
and the sound effect of a
shutter closing.
The type snapshot
selected
appears
and then the
camcorder
returns
to the scene you axe
recording
by wiping the scene in from
the center to the corners
of a black
screen.
Notes:
The P.AE special effects can be used with
snapshots.
Fades and wipes do not operate with the
snapshot mode.
If you take a snapshot using the 16X9 mode,
the black bars will not appear on the snapshot.
You can select the quality picture to be stored
in memory. The type and number of pictures
remaining appears. If "0" is flashing, no
snapshot will be stored in memory. See pages
76-77for details of deleting pictures.
Snapshots taken in dark areas and stored in the
built-in memory will appear coarse and lose
their true colors.
