After the VCR is finished

all the channels,

programming
may include
vacant
channels
if there
was a noise or stray signal
on the channel.
If this occurs, you can
manually
delete the channels
using the procedure
in the following
section, "Adding and deleting
channels."

If necessary,
you can manually
add or delete
channels
after you
have completed
the automatic
channel
programming.
Beforeyou begin,youshould:
• know how to view the picture
coming f_om your VCR; (see
page 21)
• know how to use the menus.

Make sure the video mute is ON. (See page 26.)

Set the VCR's input to "tuner."
To do this, press the INPUT
button
on the remote
control until you see a channel
number
on the fluorescent
display
panel.
O
Press the MENU button
on the remote
conbrol. The "VCR
Main Menu" appears
on your TV.
O
Press the JOG/ADJUST
buttons
to move the cursor
next to
"First Time Set-Up."
Press the ENTER
button.
O
You will see the "First
Time Set-Up"
menu. Press the JOG/
ADJUST
buttons
to move the cursor
next to "Add/delete
channels."
Press the ENTER
button.
If you are recording,
playing
a tape, or receiving
a video si_]al
from an external
input, then the words "Not available"
will flash.
To correct this, stop the tape or switch the VCR's input to tuner.
O
You will see the screen for adding
or deleting
channels.
Use
the JOG/ADJUST
buttons
to select the channel
to be added or
deleted.
Press the ENTER
button
to add the channel
or press
the CANCEL
button
to delete it.
O
When you are finished,
press the MENU
button
once to
return
to the "First
Time Set-Up"
menu;
press the MENU
button
a second time to return
to the "VCR Main Menu";
press the MENU
button
a third time to turn off the menu.
