Chapter 3: Operating YourVCR
UsingtheMenus to SettheTime
This section
will show you how to use the on-screen
menus.
You
will use the menus
to operate
many features,
such as setting
the
time, programming
to record,
and memorizing
channels.
Before you begin, you need to know:
• how to view the picture
coming from your VCR. (See page
21.)
First
Time
Set-Up
Your
choices
are:
Memorize
channels
Add/delete
channels
Use
ADJUST
to
select.
and
ENTER.

Main
Menu

Make sure you are viewing the picture
coming from your
VCR. Then, press the MENU button
on the remote
control.
You will see the '¢VCR Main Menu." Make sure the cursor
is
next to the words "First Time Set-Up."
If it is not, use the
JOG/ADJUST
buttons
to place the cursor
tlhere.
Press ENTER.
The "First Time Set-Up" menu will appear.
The cursor will be next to "Set the clock." Press _:he ENTER
button.

You will see the "Set the clock" menu. The cucsor will be next
to the word "Month."
Press the JOG/ADJUST
buttons
until
the correct month
appears
on screen.
Press the ENTER
button.
Tbe cursor automatically
moves to the word '_!ear." Press the
JOG/ADJUST
buttons
to set the year. Press the ENTER
button.
The cursor
automatically
moves to the word "Date." Press
the JOG/ADJUST
buttons
to set the date. Press the ENTER
button.

The cursor

moves to the word ':'Clock." The hour
numbers
and the an_pm
indicator
will be blinking.
Press the
JOG/ADJUST
buttons
to set the hour and ara/pm at the same
time. The JOG/ADJUST
+ button
moves the clock forward;
the JOG/ADJUST
- button
moves the clock backwards.
Press the ENTER
button.
