Normal Operation, Control Displays
During normal operation, tile present time of day and AM or PM sh(n_ ill tile control dispkty area. When
tile demand / omputer determines a regeneration is needed, RECHARGE TONIGHTbegins to flash ill tile
display along with the present time. RECHARGE YONlGHT _j2" flashesuntilthenextregenerationstart
time, then (hanges to RECHARGE NOVg,whi(h flashes until the regeneration is over.
Feature: Optional Recharge Controls
Sometimes, a manually so,led regeneration
(recharge) may be desired or needed.
Two examples:
[] You have used more water than usual (house
guests, extra was]ling, et(.) and },till nlay Illn Dill
of soft water beibre the next regeneration.
[] You did not refill the storage tank vdth salt.
Use one of tile fi)llowing ieatures to stmt a
regeneration immediately orat the next preset
regeneration start time.

Touch (do not hold) tile TOUCH or HOtObutton.
RECHARGE YONlGHYflashes ill tile control display
area. A regeneration will otcur at tile next preset
regeneration start time. If you decide to tan( el this
regeneration, touch tile same button onte more.
RECHARGENOW 9 _12_
Press and ho/dthe TOUCH or HOlObutton until
RECHARGENOWsmrts to flash ill tile control display
area. Tlle water softening system begins an
immediate regeneration and, when over ill about
two hours, you will have a new mpply of soft water.
On(e started, you (inner ( ancel this regeneration.
Feature: Program Memory
If ele( tri(al power to tile water softening system is
interrupted, tlle (ontrol display is blank, but tile
control keeps ( orrect time tbr about six hours.
When power is restored, you have to reset tile
present time only if tile display is flashing. All ()tiler
settings me maintained and never require resetting
unless a (hange is desired.
If tile time is flashing after a long power outage,
tile water softening system ( ominues to work as it
should to provide you with soft water. However,
regenerations may ocolr at tile wrong time of
day until you reset tile (ontrol to tile (one( t time
of day.
