Thin Provisioning Z

The volumes of Thin Provisioning Z can be used as Business Copy Z P-VOL, S-VOL, and reserved
volumes with the following limitations.
It is recommended that you use Thin Provisioning volumes for both P-VOL and S-VOL.
If you use Business Copy Z P-VOL only as Thin Provisioning Z volumes, you cannot perform
Quick Restore.
If you use Business Copy Z S-VOL only as Thin Provisioning Z volumes, you cannot perform
Quick Restore. And also, it is not recommended to use Business Copy Z S-VOL only as Thin
Provisioning Z volumes because S-VOL uses the same pool capacity as P-VOL.
You cannot perform the pair operation of Business Copy Z when extending the capacity of
Thin Provisioning Z volumes.
