Ensure that pair status changes to PAIR before attempting any other operation.
NOTE:
Check the following.
If the reverse copy or quick restore operation ends abnormally, the pair status changes to
PSUE. In this case, the P-VOL is read/write-enabled for all hosts, but the data in the P-VOL is
not guaranteed. The S-VOL remains write-disabled (read-only) and data is not guaranteed.
The status of other Business Copy pairs sharing the same P-VOL does not change.

Delete pairs

You can delete a pair when you no longer need it. When you delete a pair, the P-VOL and S-VOL
return to their SMPL state, though their data remains intact. After deletion, both volumes are available
for use in another pair.
Prerequisite Information
The S-VOL's processor blade, whose allocation was changed for creating pair, is allocated again
to the former processor blade when the pair is deleted. If the previous processor blade was removed,
an appropriate processor blade is allocated.
CAUTION:
If you delete a pair, the volume status changes from SMPL(PD) to SMPL. You can check the
volume status in the Pair Operation window.
Although you can check the volume status by using the pairdisplay command of RAID Manager,
this command does not enable you to distinguish between SMPL and SMPL(PD). To distinguish
between SMPL and SMPL(PD), perform the inqraid command. Check whether or not the volume
is used by Business Copy. If the volume is used by Business Copy, the volume status is SMPL(PD).
If the volume is not used by Business Copy, the volume status is SMPL.
After you delete a Business Copy pair, to execute a command to perform tasks such as pair
operation or event waiting, wait 10 seconds until the volume status changes from SMPL(PD)
to SMPL. If you do not wait 10 seconds, the command might end abnormally.
