Speaker assembly

Description
Speaker assembly
Before removing the speaker assembly, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the battery (see

Remove the following components:

Hard drive (see

Wireless module compartment cover (see

Optical drive (see
d.
Keyboard (see
e.
Keyboard cover (see
f.
Display assembly (see

Top cover (see
Remove the speaker assembly:
1.
Disconnect the num lock cable (1) from the system board.
2.
Remove the two Phillips PM2.5×4.0 screws (2) that secure the speaker assembly to the computer.
3.
Remove the Phillips PM2.5×9.0 screw (3) that secures the speaker assembly to the computer.
4.
Disconnect the speaker cable (4) from the system board.
