The recovery discs are used to start up (boot) the computer and recover the operating system and software to factory settings in case of system instability or failure.

    Create a system restore point Select Start > Control Panel > System and Maintenance > System. In the left pane, click System protection. Click the System Protection tab. Under Automatic restore points, select the disk for which you want to create a restore point. Click Create.
