Use a tripod for the best results. Set Vibration reduction to Off from the setup
menu ([_ 98) when using a tripod to stabilize the camera.
In the shooting screen -_ i_1 (shooting mode) button -_ _ (second icon from the top)

1 Press the I_1 button in shooting
mode and use the multi selector to
select 1:_ (Panorama assist) scene
mode ([_ 44).
• Panorama direction icons are displayed to
show the direction in which pictures will be
joined.
_I Use the multi selector to choose the direction
and press the _) button.
• Select the direction in which pictures will bejoined in
the completed panorama; right (D), left ((]), up (_A) or
down CoO.
• The yellow panorama direction icon (_ D) is displayed
for the current direction and the direction is fixed when
_) is pressed. The icon changes to the white fixed direction D icon.
• If necessary, apply flash mode (_ 54), self-timer ([]]_ 56), macro mode (_ 57) and
exposure compensation (_ 58) settings with this step.
• Press the _) button again to choose a different direction.
3 Frame the first portion of the
panorama scene and take the first
picture.
• The camera focuses on the subject at the
center of the frame.
• One third of the picture will be displayed as
translucent.
