Projecting Pictures
1
Placethe camera.
• Place the camera on a stable and ]evd surface such as a table.
• Point the projector window at a screen (available commercially) or flat white surface.
• The projection distance between the camera and screen should be approximately
26 cm (1 ] in.) to 3.1 m (10 ft) (_]] 82).
2 Turn on the camera and open the C -- _

• The camera enters playback mode and pictures _/o
stored in the internal memory or on a memory card _ _
• To project pictures in favorite pictures mode, auto
sort mode, or list by date mode, follow the procedure in "Switching Between Playback
Modes" (_ 70) to switch the playback mode.
• The camera's monitor turns off when the projector is in operation, and the multi
selector, the _) button, and MENU button are bacHit, making the camera easy to use in
the dark.
• The projector brightness is reduced immediately after the projector cover is opened,
and it increases to the normal level after about ten seconds.
3 Adjust the camera position.
• To change the projected picture size, adjust the distance between the camera and
screen.
• Adjust the projection angle to reduce picture distortion.

Adjust focus for the projected _ L___
picture.
• Turn off unnecessary lights. _4_v
• Rotate the projector focus dial to adjust
picture focus.
5 Press the multi selector A, V, _, or i_ on the camera to change the
projected picture.
• You can also use the remote control (available separately) to change the picture
(_ 4,81).
• See "Projector Controls" (_ 83) for more information about when the projector is in
operation.
Close the projector cover to end projection.
• Turn off the camera after dosing the projector cover.
